Tora Ramen Serves the Comfort Food You Crave on a Cold Day

Wavy noodles swimming in spicy miso broth with torched pork belly, scallions, corn, and a pat of butter. The spicy miso ramen is an early standout at Tora Ramen, a hip new shop that just opened up in Chinatown. Although the spicy miso seems to have captured the attention (and taste buds) of those who’ve visited Tora Ramen so far, the carefully curated menu includes a handful of other tasty options, too.

The black garlic tonkotsu ramen also earns raves! Unlike the spicy miso, this soup showcases white tonkotsu noodles with nori sheets and onions, plus the same flame-saered pork belly. Devour pork chashu instead when you order the original tonkotsu, or skip the pork and share some appetizers like the fried crab croquettes, edamame, and seaweed salad. Tora Ramen is open for indoor dining and takeout, and it’s important to note that it only accepts cash.
