Taking inspiration from old world neighborhood butcher shops, Certified Meatball Company aims to combine unique recipes with the freshest cuts of prime meat. True to the restaurant’s name, a variety of creative meatball dishes are the specialty at this laid back, comfortable eatery. The Chicken Fried Steak Balls are a house favorite, smothered in savory sausage gravy. The Shrimp N’ Grits takes carefully crafted shrimp balls and lays them over a bed of creamy cheddar grits, and then tops it all off with an andouille sausage and tasso ham gravy. Vegetarians can opt for the Curried-Cashew Veggie Kofta, which combines paneer balls coated in cashew-curry sauce with golden raisins.
Brunch is available at Certified Meatball Company on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. The brunch menu features many morning classics, but also some more innovative options like the Bao Baller Trio — which takes Spicy Korean porks balls on steamed bao buns, and combines them with scrambled eggs and Korean chili BBQ sauce.
