If you’ve liked One Greenway’s Facebook page, you’ve seen the One Greenway team participating in Movember, an awareness campaign organized by the Movember Foundation. Since 2003, this program has raised more than $650 million for men’s health issues. As part of our fundraising efforts, our team recently welcomed friends and residents to Suite 1100 for Saturday brunch. Our team provided mimosas and brunch. Guests had a great time posing with moustaches and other props for photos. Residents got to meet their neighbors and brought friends to show what it’s like to live at One Greenway, and we all had fun playing pool on the new table in Suite 1100. It was a great part of the long weekend! Movember may be over, but we’re proud to share that the whole Buzzuto team raised more than $11,000 for men’s health—and looked good doing it! You can still donate at our team
It seems like only yesterday that we were sharing where to enjoy an ice cream on a long summer day near One Greenway, but now it’s time to talk turkey. If you haven’t made plans to travel to your favorite Thanksgiving destination (or aren’t cooking a feast in the well-appointed kitchen of your One Greenway apartment) there are several area restaurants that are open and serving incredible food for your holiday. The Merchant in Downtown Crossing offers a 3-course, prix-fixe meal for diners. If turkey isn’t your favorite dish, there’s also steak frites and a stuffed poblano pepper to choose as an entrée. Legal Seafood in Downtown Crossing is serving up the classic turkey dinner, along with its renowned clam chowder and fresh seafood. Want to enjoy your Thanksgiving meal with a stunning view? Legal Seafood’s Seaport location is also open and serving a 3-course prix-fixe menu. Have family coming
The NFL season is underway and as you probably know, our very own New England Patriots are undefeated. Whether you’re a diehard New England fan, or just want to have an excuse for a quintessentially Boston Sunday Funday, there are plenty of great bars and restaurants a short jaunt from One Greenway to join in on the fun and root for the Patriots. J.J Foley’s: This Boston institution has two locations and both are solid choices for football fans and convenient for One Greenway residents. The South End location offers brunch from 10:30am-1:30pm if you’re looking to watch a 1:00pm game. The Downtown Crossing location has all of the essential game day snacks and offers a tasty pint of Guinness. The Warehouse: Located a short walk up the Rose Kennedy Greenway from One Greenway, there’s not a seat in the house that doesn’t have a prime view of a high-definition
Last week, One Greenway was proud to host the nominees, judges and innovators from across Boston at the 50 on Fire Meetup. The sold-out crowd joined One Greenway residents at Suite 1100, our inviting 11th floor lounge. Guests also enjoyed the outside balcony, taking in views of Boston from high above the bustle of the city below. The party got started with free samples of whiskey from event sponsor Jack Daniel’s. Wanderlush offered a variety of beer and wine, including Stella Artois, which guests sipped as they networked. South Boston’s LOCO Taqueria & Oyster Bar provided oysters and steak appetizers—the ultimate in surf and turf. When guests needed a break, they had the opportunity to tour model units at One Greenway—including the incredible penthouse levels. (Missed the tour during all the fun? You can always contact us!) All of us at One Greenway had an amazing evening with the passionate
It’s been an exciting time for public art in Boston. A Translation from One Language to Another is in place on the Rose Kennedy Greenway in Dewey Square. Locals and tourists alike are still captivated by Janet Echelman’s As If It Were Already Here and Kyu Seok Oh’s Wandering Sheep. One Greenway is proud to be home to another piece of stunning public art in downtown Boston. We watched as the piece Parcel 24 by Sara Egan was installed at the entrance to the building. But Egan prefers that you not call the piece public art. “When you go to Rome no one is talking about Public Art—they just talk about how beautiful everything is,” Egan says. She views art outside the context of a museum as an effort to reclaim the public space from advertising and corporate imagery and bringing something that challenges the viewer back to the public
