Tour the City With Swan Boats of Boston

Opening day for the Swan Boats of Boston is coming soon, marking the unofficial beginning of Spring in the city. Mark your calendar April 14, when the first boats will take sail complete with an opening day celebration with Mayor Walsh.

The Swan Boats of Boston are a fun way for folks of all ages to take in the sites of the Boston Public Garden. The ride lasts about 12-15 minutes as the Swan Boat driver pedals around the lagoon. The boats operate each day (weather permitting) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and make for a relaxing excursion and perfect photo op. Adult tickets are $4, children are $2.50, and seniors are $3.50. With the rides being relatively short and the number of Swan Boats in rotation, you generally shouldn’t have to wait more than 5 minutes before you’re out on the water. Hop on the boats near the center of the Public Garden on the east side of the lagoon.
